Abstract

The calculation model for technological parameters of prebending and con-sequent forming of heavy plate billets has been presented. Usage of this model allows to decrease number geometrical tube defects. Building and numerical analysis of realization of this model are conducted in several steps: building of geometrical model of strip billet and tool; realization of calculated numerical schemes; choice of algorithm; realization of obtained results. The results of investigation allow to determine the depth of punch lowering, and its value assists to check geometrical parameters of the actual radius and prebending height, as well as the shape of forming tube billet on the every ith punch step. The results of this investigation can be used in development of parameters of calibration and tuning of pressing tools in production of large-diameter tubes for major pipelines.
