Nizhniy Tagil Iron and Steel Works — “EVRAZ NTMK” JSC is one of the largest Russian industrial enterprises. Solid I-beams and H-beams manufactured by the H-beam plant are well known to the customers worldwide. The first lot of the products was shipped to the construction sites of the Summer Olympic Games of 1980 in Moscow. Within 37 years of the H-beam plant operation, over 30 mln. t of parallel flange I-beams and H-beams have been manufactured here, including those for sport structures, among the latest are those for the 2014 World Ice Hockey Championship and of course the facilities of the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games. In 2015 the H-beam plant‘s product mix was extended with 28 new profi les which proceed the product line under STO ASCHM 20-93 standard including the H-columns with equal flange and web thicknesses which have become widely spread overseas and well known there under the name „H-bearing piles“ and „universal bearing piles“.
