Abstract

Nizhniy Tagil Iron and Steel Works — “EVRAZ NTMK” JSC realizes environ-ment protection activity and executes the complex of environment protection measures aimed on reaching the regulations on maximum permitted emissions in the environment, providing thereby ecological safety of its operation. It is confirmed annually in the process of observing audit of the ecological management system with checking its correspondence to the international standard ISO 14001:2004. At present time, “EVRAZ NTMK” JSC realizes the following measures: utilization of excessive gases from coke dry quenching unit in a gas pipeline of blast furnace gas in order to decrease coke losses. The first stage of the audit of recycled wa-ter supply system and sources of waste water emission in a storm collecting system are executing as well.
