The results of Stahldialog round table are observed. It was held in Düsseldorf and was devoted to manufacturing possibilities of rolling mills and their technological flexibility as answers to the current requirements of the customers. The main attention has been paid not to separate aspects of production equipment and materials, but to wide range of processes and units. It displays in what way rolling equipment can answer the challenges from strict customers. Among main topics of the round table the following can be named: efficient production of high-quality materials with competitive prices; demand on cold-rolled strip; logistic challenges; practical value as the key factor for market success; requirements of customers as motivation for innovations; usage of a wide data base for dynamic process management.
