Abstract |
The comparative analysis and assessment of efficiency of the ways which are used in metallurgy for improvement of quality, reliability and operability of products from medium alloy high-strength steel is provided in article. Ways of extra oven refinement of liquid steel, with their advantages and shortcomings are considered. Technical characteristics of industrial technology and the modes of melting are given in the arc steel-smelting furnace with the subsequent extra oven pumping out of a stream of liquid steel of a perlite class in the installation developed for this way. Positive influence of extra oven pumping out on mechanical and office properties of metal of castings, the content of gases and nonmetallic inclusions in the vacuumized steel in comparison with a usual way is shown without processing by vacuum is shown. Positive influence of extra oven pumping out on elimination of foundry defects and quality of a surface of shaped steel castings is noted. This information can be useful to students, graduate students and lecture of state educational institution of higher professional education of metallurgical specialties, and also metallurgical engineers and employees of research institutes. |
