Реферат

Construction of rolling stands of medium-section and smallsection rolling mills are examined. The features of operation of rolling stands in section and bas production are reflected, their advantages and disadvantages are noted. It is shown that rather narrow specialization of section rolling mills in accordance with their geometrical dimension range can be considered as the main tendency of their current development, in order to achieve maximal technical and economical production efficiency. Analysis of rolling stands construction has displayed that most part of medium-section, small-section and wire rod rolling mills use housing-free non-stressed stands as the most rational technical solution. The most rational ranges of barrel diameters and lengths of rolls are suggested for different stand groups. Construction parameters of housing-free stands, providing the required stand stiffness in axial and radial directions, are recommended. A wide range of such rolling stands has been designed and with roll diameter 280–650 mm, with annual production 100–1,000 thousand tpy. The 280 rolling mill at the casting and rolling plant in Yartsevo is shown as an example of such design.
