Abstract | The event “Massive lightweight automotive building” in Stuttgart has been devoted to the results of the initiative suggested by the companies - members of Die Forging Association and VDEh Steel Institute. This initiative covered the field of lightweight constructions for automotive industry and concluded the following direction as priority: development of bainite steels that (like AFP steels) are manufactured at forging temperature and have the same properties, bit don’t need additional heat treatment. Rise of efficiency of technological processes can be reached via their optimization. |
