Abstract
The paper observes the opinion of Ingo Kramer, head of the German union of employers, presented in the Stahl annual conference. He has examined the chal-lenges and prospects of the German industry and its competitiveness in the condi-tions of Industry 4.0 development stage of industrial revolution. The situation in the German technical education has been especially concerned.
