Abstract

Optimal chains of added value creation are existing in the modern market — from product development through its production to final usage by customers, and it is considered as the necessary prerequisite of providing competitiveness. Up-to-date production facilities are connected via Internet and can supply information for management and organization of net manufacturing processes. Using Industry 4.0 as a future project, the German government tries to support development of information and technical net industrial works. The history of Industry 4.0 and its previous stages (Industry 1.0 — Industry 3.0) is briefly described. It is shown that Industry 4.0 bases on cyber-systems and includes mechanization and automation of technological processes as well as separation and specialization of working operations and their networking.
