Реферат

The most problematic variety of man-made raw materials with respect to beneficiation are solid municipal wastes (SMW). The paper presents a review of beneficiation methods, applicable for this material type. Specific properties of solid municipal waste are considered, determining applicability of particular beneficiation methods. Most significant properties are low bulk density, high moisture content, structural connectivity, tendency to sticking and arching. In the context of solving a task of SMW separation with a view to produce solid fuel for cement industry, the methods and equipment were chosen, realizing efficient separation of wastes. Morphological components, containing unwanted chemical elements to be removed in production of fuel (glass, non-ferrous metals, ferrous metals, electronic waste, batteries, stone, ceramic, food waste, textiles, miscellaneous (chlorine-containing) polymers, shoes, screenings smaller than 10 mm), were determined. Physical properties (contrasting characteristics), distinguishing «problematic» morphological components from desired fuel fractions, were established. The methods and equipment are recommended for realization of efficient separation using differences between physical properties of desired fuel fractions and fractions carrying unwanted substances.
The work was performed with the financial aid from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation for the Project No. 14.579.21.0111, dated 27.10.2015, UIPNI RFMEF157915X0111, R&D registration number АААА-А15-115122810075-7.
