The plant of St. Petersburg — Putilov — Kirov. Start of the way |
Abstract |
The paper describes the history of strengthening and primary development of the famous metallurgical works, that has been established in St. Petersburg by Charles Gaskoigne in 1801. Afterwards this plant was known as Putilovskiy (based on its owner in the second part of XIX century) and, later, Kirovskiy. The input of Charles Gaskoigne and Nikolay Putilov in the development of Russian metallurgy is also observed. |
