Abstract | Our paper shows the results of determination the flaw detection sensitivity and photographic effect of the systems, including the X-ray intensifying screens with luminophores Gd2O2S:Tb (P-9), Lu2O2S:Tb (P-11) and BaFCl:Eu (P-15), X-ray film and steel plates. With the exposure reduction by 4 times, the flaw detection sensitivity of radiographic analysis of the system, including the X-ray intensifying screens with 90/110 mg/cm2 of luminophore Lu2O2S:Tb load, film PМ-6 and steel plate with 80 mm thickness is identical to that for the screenless radiography with the film PТ-1 and lead foil. Application of the same system with gammaradiography using the isotope Ir-192 led to the small reduction of the flaw detection sensitivity, in comparison with the screenless gamma-radiography and exposure reduction by 6 times. Using the wire penetrameter ИКИ Cu4, we determined the 1.25 mm of the flaw detection sensitivity of the radiographic control of the system, including the set of screens with 40/120 mg/cm2 of luminophore Gd2O2S:Tb load, Kodak HS-800 film and steel plate with 90 mm thickness. Image blur ratio (Ug) is 0.5 mm. All testings were carried out using the X-ray unit Balto RE 320/14 with 0.5 mm thickness copper filter, 280 kV anode voltage, 10 mA anode current and 700 mm focal length. Increasing of thickness of the investigated steel plates from 60 to 100 mm is possible when industrial radiographic applying the system with X-ray intensifying screens with luminophore Lu2O2S:Tb (90/110 mg/cm2 load) and film РM-6; and the system with screens with luminophore Gd2O2S:Tb (40/120 mg/cm2 load) and Kodak HS-800 film. Photographic effect of the barium industrial screens БП-2 (BaFCl:Eu, 110 mg/cm2 load) on the film was by 1.5 times higher than that for the tungstate industrial screen ВП-2 (CaWO4, 180 mg/cm2 load) and by 1.7 times higher than that for the screens with increased photographic effect (CaWO4, 160 mg/cm2 load). |
