The article analyzes and proves application efficiency of project investment in the sphere of subsoil use. The article consists of 6 sections, including the introduction, main body and the conclusion. The main body of the article is divided into four sections, namely, Notion of project investment and its relevance in implementation of innovation geotechnologies; Description of the adaptable pyramid of risks in subsoil use; Sequence of project investment methods; Algorithms and examples of project investment implementation. The Introduction describes the state-of-the art of the country’s raw material resources base. The main body of the article is devoted to the notion of the project investment and its role in implementation of projects connected with the subsoil use. Furthermore, risks of investment projects are analyzed, and an adaptable pyramid of risks of a subsoil use investment project is presented. Then, the authors’ procedure of investigating efficiency of stimulation methods for project investment in the sphere of domestic subsoil use is described, and examples of innovation activities of mining companies are discussed. In the Conclusion, the authors emphasize the relevance of the project investment in the subsoil management as this method ensures investment attractiveness in the sphere of subsoil use.
