The relevance of professional education of the command personnel in mine rescue teams and emergency response managers in coal and ore mines is conditioned by the complexity and scale of aftereffects of the modern-day accidents, their intricate behavior when the accidents induce one another. An important factor of such education effi ciency is the educational program content which should enable students to build up the skill of objective assessment of probable accident risks. High mining intensity in the current conditions results in an increased energy of unfavorable events (geomechanical, hydrodynamic and gasdynamic) which are interconnected and reciprocal. The regularities of development of such events as well as their prevention and precaution methods should be the primary objects of study. This knowledge is particularly important under conditions of informatization of decision-making in case of emergency inasmuch as the application of inadequate computer models by specialists lacking proper qualifi cation can result in severe unpredictable consequences and imperil security of mine rescue men.
