Abstract |
It is becoming more difficult to develop efficiently bauxite reserve base due to the fact that mining has to be done at great depths, which are characterized by complex geological, geotechnical and geodynamic conditions. The article presents technological and economic recommendations on introduction of innovative solutions, including R&D, experimental designing and engineering development contributing to the increase in safety and economic efficiency of deep-level rockburst-hazardous mining. The main line toward a decrease in deficit of bauxite reserves in Russian is connected with the increase in efficient subsoil management by means of loss reduction in bauxite production at Sevuralboksiruda which develops rockburst-hazardous deposits at great depths. It is suggested to take into account aluminium price behavior, which has considerable influence on integrated economic effect, jointly with costs of activities aimed to prevent rockbursting (borehole stress relief, mined-out area size reduction by making temporal safety pillars, etc.). The feasibility study of variants for mining bauxite reserves in blocks of different geodynamic hazard allows concluding that under unaltered price or price decline tendency, it is rather to undertake local prevention of rock bursts, for example, borehole stress relief method. At the same time, bauxite cost and price modeling shows that the variant of mining with safety pillars is more efficient given the trend of price advance by 20–30% per year. |
