Реферат

In the course of construction of new lines in the Saint-Petersburg Metro, builders are faced with the known difficulties. The metro stations and tunnels are constructed in Cambrian argillite-like clays with interbeds of sandstone and limestone, with competent boulder stones and other inclusions sometimes. In these cases, in order to avoid damage of cutter bits and to ensure normal duty, a machine operator should assess cutting forces. Monitoring of the cutting forces on rock-breaking tools is carried out using cleavers designed by this study’s authors. The article considers a cutting range of the cutterhead of shield machine KT1–5.6M and presents dependences of the total torque, hardness of rocks and thickness of chips. The algorithm is developed for localization of solid inclusions based on the readings of a cutter bit or a cleaver which record jumps in hardness of rocks.
