Abstract |
At present tim, polymetallic copper-bearing sulfide ores mined in local conditions, except the minerals of basic nonferrous metals (chalcopyrite, bornite, chalcosite, covellite, sphalerite, galenite, etc.), also contain a significant amount of iron sulfides in the form of such minerals as pyrite, pyrrhotite and arsenopyrite. At the flotation enrichment of such sulphide-polymetallic ores, copper, zinc and lead concentrates with high iron content are selectively separated and obtained. With this enrichment process, for a number of reasons, iron is removed from the flotation cycle and thrown into the dumps. Meanwhile, these wastes contain more iron than common iron ores. From this standpoint, the development of technology with integrated recovery of both nonferrous metals and iron is inevitable and very relevant. Based on the data of mineralogical and X-ray phase analyses, the character of distribution of iron minerals in the obtained collective concentrate was studied with the aim of developing a further effective technological direction for the complex processing of these sulfide concentrates with the extraction of nonferrous metals and iron from them. |
