Abstract | The incentive mechanism to reduce the anthropogenic load of mining industry through insurance tool kit is substantiated. The calculated examples illustrate the stimulating function of insurance of potential hazard sources in the mining industry owing to widely differential tariff rates and preventive measures. The calculations of the core net rate, risk premium, aggregate net rate, gross rate and its structure are presented for three scenarios of the likelihood of an unfavorable situation the course of mining: q = 0.1; q = 0.01; q = 0.01. As the calculations show, a well-organized differentiated system of tariff rates can significantly reduce the insurance contributions to 2% of the original values. This means actual exclusion of insurance premiums for businesses that comply with security requirements. The proposed approach will allow changing the attitude of mining companies to insuring potential sources of hazard, increasing the liability limit and providing insurance protection with a wider list of risks due to increased anthropogenic load. The obtained results allow us to conclude about the need for large-scale distribution of incentive insurance methods in the system of economic regulators in mining activities. The study was carried out under state contract with the Market Economy Institute RAS, R&D Project: Sustainable Development of Russia—Ecological-and-Economic Aspect. |
