Abstract | The processes of urbanization, which led to the intensification of the use of underground space in large cities, as well as the increasing density of underground utilities has led to the higher need to expand economic activity in the geosphere, including areas under numerous water bodies. In megacities, the construction of supply lines under water bodies is to take into account a number of extra terms and restrictions both ecological and economical. Therefore, the enhanced utilization of underground space of megacities for the construction of urban distribution lines under water bodies is associated with an increase in the production and environmental costs and damages. Currently, due to the technological development and organization of mining and construction works, the variability of possible solutions in the supply utility under the objects of the ground hydrosphere of cities has significantly expanded. Thus, in contrast to the past, the modern practice of arrangement of various supply lines in the underground space uses both underground and open cast methods of mineral mining. It is quite common to use temporary partial draining of beds of water bodies, diversion of riverbed, creation of storage ponds, etc. As a result of the research, the authors propose a new methodological approach which allows determining rational types of modern building materials and structures for the construction underground utility lines. The new approach enables the ecological and economic ranking of various composite and other building materials and structures in construction of distribution lines under water bodies in urban areas. The procedure is applicable to ranking both available and new materials. |
