Abstract | A review of domestic and foreign literature was carried out, showing the relevance of studies of the technological process of machining the engine cylinder in order to ensure the specified accuracy of size and shape, as well as surface quality, including the specified parameters of the Abbot diagram. The expediency of natural aging of castings of cylinders before the first machining operation and artificial aging inside the machining cycle is shown. According to the given Abbot diagram, 30% of processed billets are rejected. To improve the quality of the machined surface of the Cylinder mirror, a technical task was developed for the production of an aggregate boring machine with CNC ARS - 4 / Ts at the Vladimir machine-tool plant. The machine is designed to process 2 workpieces simultaneously. Finishing and roughing of the inner surface of the Cylinder is continuously carried out, namely, the roughing spindle with the right spindle, then the finishing with the left one. The advantage of combining the finishing and roughing of the inner surface of the Cylinder is the absence of installation errors between finishing and roughing. This provides refinement at each position before. Double boring on an aggregate-boring machine with CNC ARS - 4 / C reduces the proportion of hereditary error in the shape of the cylinder mirror to 0.02% of the original, that is, it practically eliminates it. The deviations of the diameter after a single honing do not exceed 0.028 mm, and the deviations of roundness are 0.006 mm, which fi ts into the specified tolerances |
