Corrosion-resistant steels are widely used as materials with special physical and mechanical properties, from which products for the oil and gas industry, thermal and nuclear power, shipbuilding, etc. are made. However, the difficulties encountered in the manufacture of products with threaded surfaces from this type of material do not always allow the required roughness to be formed; moreover, the operation of the cutting tool in such conditions is accompanied by accelerated wear. As a result, the article presents research aimed at improving the quality of threading in corrosionresistant steels, in particular the 08X18N10T grade, which is proposed to be carried out in a comprehensive manner: firstly, to pretreat the tap surfaces with Fe + TiC composite powder in a constant magnetic field; secondly, when threading the internal thread, to take into account the condition of the tap surfaces, variously affecting the roughness of the threaded thread; thirdly, the roughness of the cut thread with pre-treated taps should be evaluated according to 6 height parameters. The conducted studies and the proposed practical recommendations for improving the quality of threading in corrosion-resistant steels of the 08X18N10T grade with taps, whose surfaces are pretreated with Fe + TiC composite powder in a magnetic fi eld, make it possible to reduce the roughness of the threaded thread in all 6 height parameters from the initial values by 42–71%, depending on the controlled parameter. The study was carried out under financial support of the grant for the State assignment in the field of scientific activity No. FSRW-2020-0014 for 2021. |
