ArticleName | New shearing line for a more efficient production of plates with few inherent stresses |
ArticleAuthor | H.-G. Hartung, M. Jaenecke, C. Sasse |
Abstract | Plates with few inherent stresses as well as a homogeneous distribution of the residual stresses are increasingly required — mainly in the thickness range between 15 and 25 mm. These steel plates are usually produced in heavyplate mills and then levelled. With its much smaller X-Pro shearing line for heavy-gauge strip, SMS Siemag offers a much more cost-effective alternative. The core equipment consists of an integrated plate leveler with individually adjusted rollers. |
