The article presents an analysis of the opportunities and challenges in the current use of immersive technologies in the design and manufacture of industrial equipment. Immersive technologies today have great potential for streamlining and accelerating the design, engineering and production of industrial equipment, but their implementation is associated with a number of problems, such as the high cost of devices and equipment, technical and organizational problems, as well as the need for qualified specialists to work with these technologies. The article provides examples of the successful implementation of immersive technologies in the design and manufacture of industrial equipment, such as the use of virtual and augmented reality technologies to educate and train employees of enterprises, the creation of digital twins of industrial facilities, virtual prototypes and three-dimensional models that help optimize production processes and accelerate development. new products. The article points out the advantages of using immersive technologies in comparison with traditional methods of design and engineering. It is most effective, in terms of the production of industrial equipment, to start with small projects, gradually introducing new technologies and evaluating their effectiveness in stages.
