Design of a reliable and durable construction of roll fittings is usually a complicated task as such in-formation as particularity of loads, as well as their wear resistance. This paper focuses on studying wear resistance of rollers, the wear parts of the rolling guide. The studies were aimed at the replacement of expensive import rollers with rollers from cheap materials available at PJSC MMK. At the mill, industrial studies of the wear resistance of roller reinforcement rollers made of 30KhUSA, ShKh15, 6KhV2S steels were carried out. Analysis of the test results showed that the wear resistance of rollers made of these materials is several times higher than that of currently used 4Kh5MFS steels. At the same time, the cost of rollers is 10-15 times lower. The results of the study show the possibility of using such materials and a significant reduction in the cost of purchasing replaceable parts of roller reinforcement.
