Abstract | The use of profile pipes with triangular cross-section in comparison with square crosssection saves material in the manufacture of products, reducing their metal consumption and cost. The paper presents the results of the development of technical and technological solutions for obtaining a triangular-section electric welded pipe with a side size of 60 mm, a thickness of 2 mm and a radius of 6 mm in the profiling stands of the pipe-electric welding unit 21–89 (TESA 21–89) of PAO Severstal based on computer modeling. The expediency of profiling a triangular pipe from a round pipe billet in three-roll calibers is justified by ensuring high accuracy in geometry and obtaining the required radius. The diameter of the initial pipe billet from the produced profile measurements at TESA 21–89 was determined. A method is proposed for determining the deformation modes and calibrations of rolls when profiling a triangular pipe in three-roll calibers based on the use of a structural design system and drawings. The results of a numerical study of the profiling process of a round tube billet with various deformations are presented. It is established that the maximum deformation at the beginning of the profiling process makes it possible to increase the calibration accuracy of the final triangular profile. Technical solution has been developed for a new roll assembly design for each of the four profiling stands of the TESA 21–89 of PAO Severstal. Studies have proposed a formation mode, calibration of rolls and a new device of the roll assembly of the profiling stand to obtain a triangular profile with a side size of 60 mm and a thickness of 2 mm at the TESA 21–89 from a pipe billet with a diameter of 51 mm. The practical implementation of the developed solutions will allow to obtain an economic effect of 25.3 million rubles per year. |
