The results of an integrated approach to improving the quality of the fractional composition of crushed solid fuel in agglomeration production, improving and increasing the efficiency of the four-roll crusher DChG 900×700, used for crushing blast furnace coke and dry quenching coke in the agglomeration shop of the Alchevsk Metallurgical Combine of "YUGMK" LLC are presented. To improve the quality of the finished product, increase the efficiency and technical and economic indicators of the crushing machine, a number of measures have been proposed to modernize the design of the upper grooved roll, substantiate the modes of adjusting the degree of pre-tightening of the spring shock-absorbing device and control the operating parameters of feeding the crushed material into the crusher. Based on the results of analytical studies, as well as experimental tests in production conditions, rational design parameters of the surfaced mesh of the corrugated bandages of the upper rolls, the necessary pre-tightening of the springs of the shock-absorbing devices of the lower rolls are proposed. The operating parameters of the material supply to the working space of the roller crushing machine during the crushing of blast furnace coke and dry quenching coke are also justified. As a result of the implementation of the proposed measures, the quality of crushed solid fuel is improved by reducing the content of fine fractions (–0.5 and 0.5–1.0 mm) during the fractional preparation of various types of metallurgical coke and the exclusion of its large fractions (+3.0 mm), which negatively affect the efficiency of the sintering process.
