Overcoming the global financial crisis and the recession should raise the demand for clean energy. It means that in the US atomic energy can become an important part of future power balance, which has a typical peculiarity of reduced amount of greenhouse gas emissions. This statement was made by the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Ellen Tauscher during her speech at Stanford University.
