Abstract |
When rolling strip on continuous cold rolling mills, equipment overload occurs, which leads to additional wear of work rolls and accidents. To prevent equipment overload, a promising technology of high-speed asymmetric rolling has been proposed. Physical and computer modeling were carried out for the modes of a continuous cold rolling mill on a laboratory-industrial mill using speed asymmetry to assess its effect on energy-power parameters. A computer model of the formation of strip curvature (ski effect) under speed asymmetry during cold rolling has been developed. Data on energy-power parameters for symmetric and asymmetric rolling are presented. The results obtained were compared with different speed asymmetry coefficients, which showed a decrease in the rolling force. The study was supported by the Russian Science Foundation grant No. 23-79-30015 (agreement dated April 13, 2023), https://rscf.ru/project/23-79-30015/. |
