Abstract |
The development of the tank industry of the Urals and the USSR during the Great Patriotic War became possible thanks to the selfless work of Soviet workers and engineers. A significant contribution to the victory was made by soviet metallurgical engineers, who managed to quickly organize the production of tank armor, turrets and armored hulls under critical conditions. This article is dedicated to the famous soviet metallurgist V. S. Nitsenko, who made a significant contribution to the development of tank armor for the T-34 tank in the pre-war period, worked as the chief metallurgist of plant No. 183 after evacuation to Nizhny Tagil, and from October 1943 he was transferred to plant No. 200 in Chelyabinsk as chef engineer. Live through evacuation from Mariupol in September 1941, this man until the end of his days was associated with the tank industry of the Urals. The publication examines the key organizational and technical achievements of V. S. Nitsenko in organizing the production of rolled and cast high-hardness tank armor. |
