Abstract

The results of studies of nickel extraction from nickel solutions produced by JSC Kola MMC for the production of crystalline nickel sulfate are presented. Neodecanoic acid (Versatic-10) has been used as an extractant. The effect of the acidity of the aqueous phase on the extraction ability of the extractant has been established. In the course of laboratory experiments, optimal extraction parameters have been selected. At the same time, the extraction of nickel into the nickel re-extract was 87%. Pilot tests have confirmed the optimality of the established extraction modes, deviation from which leads to the formation of phase III, which prevents the process. At the pilot testing stage, the parameters of nickel washing and re-extraction and the number of extraction stages for each unit have been determined. An extraction process scheme has been developed for the production of nickel sulfate conforming to the HG/T 5919-2021 standard, grade I in terms of impurities.
