Abstract

The article presents information about the results of the work carried out on modeling the air distribution pro cesses in the workings of the underground mine «Aikhal» of ALROSA (PJSC) AC. During the work, the design ventilation scheme was evaluated for the effectiveness of the distribution of fresh air supplied for ventilation to its consumers (mining and tunneling faces, service chambers, etc.). The model was implemented on the basis of the software package «Ventilation 2» version 2.7.3. The simulation covered airflow velocities, pressure drops, and air quality indicators along the main and auxiliary my workings. Special attention was paid to zones with potentially insufficient air supply, such as remote development faces and dead-end chambers, where stagnant air and elevated harmful gases may occur. The model also accounted for seasonal air temperature variations and the impact of equipment on airflow patterns. According to the results of the performed complex analysis, the main shortcomings of the existing process of fresh air supply and removal of contaminated air were identified. The measures for the optimization of the ventilation scheme are proposed on the basis of changes, using the methods of negative regulation, the main route of the movement of air masses through the workings.
