The article is devoted to the biography of the outstanding scientist, mining engineer, and organizer of industrial mineral processing in Russia, Professor Henryk Czeczott of the Mining Institute. The article traces the scientist’s path from childhood to his death in exile. After graduating from the Mining Institute in St. Petersburg, his career as a mining engineer began. During his student years, Czeczott became interested in the problems of mineral processing, which ultimately became the main focus of his life and enabled him to achieve achievements recognized by the scientific community. On his initiative, in 1920, the Department of Mineral Processing was established at the Mining Institute, and the Research Institute of Mechanical Processing of Minerals “Mekhanobr” was founded. Under his leadership, a group of mineral processing engineers was trained. In 1922, Czeczott emigrated to Poland, where he also became a pioneer in mineral processing. The scientist died suddenly in Freiburg, on his way to a business trip to Spain.
