ArticleName | Relation between modification and graphitization processes in cast iron |
ArticleAuthor | V. Korovin, I. Leushin |
Abstract | The paper examines curves of stable and metastable iron crystallization. It is shown that the basic purpose of modification is improvement of crystal nucleation for graphite extraction. In general case, the more fine is metal structure, the more is undercooling. It is concluded about increase of influence of growth undercooling on crystallization, though technical literature testifies the role of nucleation undercooling. |
