Abstract | Although work in the steel industry has been transformed and society’s view of the manufacturing sector has changed, the steel industry remains technology-driven, creating “real values”. It produces a sustainable material that plays an important role in solving many future-oriented tasks. Knowing all this, it must be possible to convince others of this industry’s major contribution to the common good. Whereby an important aim is to increase public knowledge on, and understanding of, industrial production. Technological qualifications and further education are very important elements for enhancing this acceptance of the industry. The task of business — imparting technological information — is increasingly gaining in significance. |
