Abstract | The technology of modification of the working surface of the components made from stamp steel by impulse plasma, accompanying with complex effect of magnetic and electric fields, is suggested. As a result of the processing, structural-phase variations to the depth to 40 mcm take place with simultaneous alloying by W, Si, N, C to the depth to 5 mcm. Wear resistance of modified layer increases by hundreds times. Experience of commercial putting this technology into operation has shown that workability of tool manufactured from stamp steel rised by 2–6 times after modification. |
