The paper displays the results of development and usage of laser technologies in processing of materials and manufacture of metal products, components and tools for machine-building and metallurgy, executed in the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys. It is shown that usage of different kinds of laser processing allows to improve quality and operation parameters of products, productivity of these processes and to cut material expenses for manufacturing.
