Abstract
The billet and heavy section rolling mill 1000/850/630 of «Krasny Oktyabr’» metallurgical works in Volgograd is characterized. Rolling schedule in the roughing reverse stand 850 and 4-stand group 630 (consisting of horizontal and vertical duo stands) has been developed for production of brake shoes without any tilting operations as continuous process. Corresponding roll pass design has been calculated and recommended.
