Estimation of the problem of handling with spent nuclear fuel (SNF) from nuclear marine plants in northern european area of Russia (Murmansk and Arkhangelsk regions) has been given. Version of its solution, using underground storehouses of SNF has been proposed. The results of researches of heat and nuclear safety of these storehouses and substantiation of constructive-layout solutions of designing objects have been presented.
