Abstract | Power and force parameters of rolling of reinforced bars from billets with increased cross-section have been investigated. Several measures for power saving during metal production at 320 rolling mill are presented. Billet heating for the cases of hot and cold charge is analyzed in economical terms, as well as dependence between different initial temperatures of rolling and electric power consumption. It is concluded that 1050 oC initial temperature for rolling of 140×140 mm billet is the optimal technological mode. |
