Abstract

The results of putting into practice innovative technologies at Magnitogorsk metallurgical integrated works (MMK) are presented. The grade and dimension range of new rolled steel products in combination with rolling and cooling technologies is analyzed. The largest worldwide heavy plate 5,000 rolling mill that has started its operation lately and is one of the main suppliers of tubemaking industry is described with more details. It is concluded that development strategy of MMK is based on continuous scientific research and increase of skill level of the specialists of the works.
