Abstract | Influence of slag oxidability on melting process in electric arc furnace is examined. Relationship between content of iron oxides and general slag oxidability as well as iron losses with its oxides is established. To decrease electric power consumption, general slag oxidability should not exceed 40 %, while Fe2O3 — 10 %. |
