The paper shows the stages of improvement and development of the methods and technologies of uranium mining in the territory of the former USSR, including technologies of underground and heap uranium leaching from ordinary, poor and overbalanced ores. The main directions of development of innovation technologies of uranium mining in Russia, providing increase of resource potential and production volumes as well as efficiency rise in the industry are presented.
