Analysis, principles and criteria of operating geotechnical systems on the base of up-to-date interpretations about regularities of rock destruction are presented, taking into account scale factor. Usage of the method of acoustic emission is substantiated. Parameters and regularities for predicting estimation of destruction effects (such as crack forming, crushing, disintegration) as results of operating geotechnical systems are recommended.
