It is shown based on analysis of the mechanism of rock blasting destruction that potential power of modern explosives is insufficient for intensification of the procedure of ore preparation in the system «ore mining — ore processing». On the opinion of the authors, development of nano-blasting compositions providing disintegration of ore mechanical properties, opening and weakening of minerals should be considered as the actual and prospective direction.
