The history of creation and development of JSC “Apatit” operating on the base of apatite-nefeline ores of the Khibinsky massif is presented. The mineral and raw-material base of the company, possibility of its expansion, the main directions of improvement of technology of mining operations and ore preparation are considered. Especial attention is paid to social problems.
