Abstract | The conditions of synthesis of europium oxide powders in nanosize scale are examined using different chemical previous histories of initial europium-containing compounds. Based on solid body reactions in thermal decomposition of carbonates, oxalates and hydroxides, nano-crystalline powders with particle size 24–30 nm have been obtained. It is shown that particle size can be controlled via ultrasonic effect. The temperature interval has been revealed, where stability to growth of particle size is observed. |
