Abstract | Results of laboratory researches of processing of ilmenite and titanium-magnetite concentrates of “Gremyakha-Vyrmes” solid at Kola peninsula are described. Titanous concentrates of “Southeast Gremyaha” deposit can be successfully processed as under “the classical” scheme, including electric smelting of prereduced fusion charge, and via the new technology offered by JSC “Gipronickel Institute”, allowing to exclude high-cost smelting in electric furnaces from the process scheme. Standard commercial titanium slag, suitable for production of titanium sponge or pigmentary dioxide, and a ferriferrous alloy can be the processing products of ilmenite concentrate. Processing of titanium-magnetite concentrate will allow to manufacture accompanying of vanadium-containing cast-iron converted on vanadium slags. |
