Flexible setting of the cooling rates and more precise control of the cooling sequence are decisive factors for achieving the desired qualities of the plates as well as sufficient flatness of the plate even at high cooling rates. The article gives an overview of the new developments in the field of plant technology and process models and presents results obtained in operation.
