Abstract
Flatness and straightness are important quality terms in a strip production. Tension levellers are able to reduce flatness defects through strip elongation. This paper presents a new control concept and implementation results of a controlled form-fit-bending unit is able to eliminate strong flatness and cross-bow defects. Furthermore remarkable energy savings in the bridle rolls are achieved.
