Abstract
In order to meet advanced requirements, various constructive and technological measures were taken for the RH refractory at ArcelorMittal Eisenhuttenstadt. Structural alternations, changes regarding snorkels and vessel service and in particular a modified slag management lead to a reduction of gunning time and to an increase of the average snorkles life time by a third.
